I have been working the last few hours on a nice and clean way to hide emails on this site, without the need for JavaScript.
The solution I have come to is good old Hex. By hexing each character of the email address you are able to encode and email address in such a way that most spam crawlers can’t make out what your address is, but visitors to your site will still be able to click a link and email your directly without requiring JavaScript of jumping thought other common hoops lie my _AT_ email _DOT_ com.
I have placed this link in the menu bar under The Rest which will take you to my very simple app. Just give it your email address and it will give you a hashed mailto link ready to copy and paste into your site or forum signature.
